What The Galaxy Brain Meme Can Teach You About Testimonials

Yep, I’m marrying my love of memes and marketing to teach an important lesson, folks.

Specifically, the "galaxy brain" meme, which turns out to be really great way of showing how things rank against each other.

Let's talk about testimonials for a second...

If you’re in business, you know how important good testimonials are.

But what exactly constitutes a good testimonial?

If you’re in the business of solving problems, you might know how important it is to show how you solve those problems...

And the results your clients can achieve through your product or service.

But there’s still probably one really important component you’re leaving out of your testimonials as a problem solver.

Hint: it's what you're trying to solve...

The damn problem!

Let's take a look at the meme I whipped up:

Pretty genius, right? 😎

You see, when people are shopping around for solutions, a testimonial is an opportunity for them to see themselves in the people you’ve helped…

People who are like them and have experienced the same problem they’re experiencing right now.

It’s also an opportunity for them to see the transformation your product/service can help them achieve.

Now, I know you might be wondering if your testimonials are all trash because of this.

And I want to assure you, they’re not.

Testimonials about how good of a person you are or the experience of working can serve as great social proof and make you more credible.

You don’t need cry yourself to sleep because you have exactly 0 testimonials to work with now.

Some testimonials are better than none.

But if you want to optimize your testimonials to sell, you need them to…

- Mirror the specific clients that will be reading them on that page (via segmentation - or properly structuring your website)

- Have the client talk about the problem and the pain they were experiencing because of the problem

- Show exactly how you were able to help them.

- & then detail specific results your client had because they worked with you.

This allows you to show leads the transformation your product/service can help someone just like them achieve so that they feel confident this is THE solution for them.
